Among the tidal marshes, ancient quarries, and mysterious blue holes along the shores of the Great Eerie Lake, magic rings occasionally turn up bearing the mark of J.J. Popp & Son. (Misread by some early scholars as “J.T. Popp.”) Five have been discovered so far, along with other forged oddities.

Inspired by the real-world creations of the spectacularly talented “Ring Guy” John Popson, written by John Booth, and featuring the art of legendary toy designer Aaron Archer, “The Hidden Smithy of J.J. Popp & Son” includes the full text and images from “The Mysterious Ensorcelled Beckets” along with two new rings and keys, providing some lore and magic properties for a quintet of sculpted pieces that have earned a place of honor among fans of D&D and other roleplaying games.
